Sponsor a Warrior Class
$1,500 puts one US military veteran through six months of PTSD recovery. A Warrior Class sponsor funds five to thirty-three at once. The class runs remotely, so your veterans train near home in any state.
"Somebody I never met paid $1,500 for my seat in the class. I didn't know that until graduation. By then I was sleeping through the night and coaching my son's team."
"Somebody paid for my seat."
"Three years out of the Army I was averaging four hours of sleep. I stopped going to my son's games. I told my wife it was the drive. It wasn't the drive."
"I applied figuring there'd be a bill somewhere. There wasn't. They set me up at a gym eleven miles from my house, put a nutrition coach on the phone with me every week, and matched me with a Battle Buddy in Texas who texted 'up' at 0530 every single morning."
"At graduation they told me a company in South Carolina had sponsored the whole class. I'd never heard of them. They'd never heard of me. I think about that a lot."

crisis veterans alive.
One class. One start date. One graduation.
A Warrior Class is a group of US military veterans who start the six-month program the same week and graduate the same week. Almost nothing else requires them to be in the same room. Each veteran trains at a Preferred Partner Gym near home, works with a nutrition coach by phone, and stays in daily contact with a Battle Buddy who completed the program. Twelve classes have run this way across 38+ states.
Every tier is $1,500 per veteran. Sponsors sign a two-page MOU, receive a tax receipt, and get the class's de-identified outcome report at graduation.

Measured across all four DSM-5 clusters
Across 265 program completers, PTSD symptom severity fell 38.25%. The drop held across all four DSM-5 clusters:
A Platinum sponsorship puts 33 more veterans into that data set.
Internal outcomes, 265 completers. Reductions in mean PCL-5 subscale scores, intake to graduation.
Most veterans never get an integrated program
18.2M veterans live in this country. The VA reaches a fraction of them, and most programs are short-term, single-track, and never measure whether a veteran actually got better. WarriorWOD measures every month.
Veterans are nearly twice as likely as their civilian peers to die by suicide. That is the gap. A sponsorship funds a whole class through the program that closes it.
$1,500 funds one veteran's complete recovery
The program costs $1,500 per veteran for the full six-month recovery, covered entirely by donors. Veterans pay nothing. Here is exactly what each $1,500 of your sponsorship buys.
Membership at a Preferred Partner Gym near the veteran.
24 one-on-one nutrition coaching sessions over six months.
Monthly body-composition scans that track real change.
Weekly contact with a trained, VA S.A.V.E.-certified peer mentor.
Plus $125 training programming and $75 program support. Total $1,500 per veteran.
Exercise. Nutrition. A Battle Buddy who was there.
Six months. Twenty-six weeks. A shared start date, shared training, and a shared graduation, run on the military structure veterans already trust. Not clinical. Peer-led. Measured. Pick how many seats you fund.

College of Charleston evaluation (Dr. Katie Trejo Tello, grant SCTR CES-P UM1TR005294): 14.42-point PCL-5 reduction, not subject to WarriorWOD review before release. Peer review pending. The 38.25% figure is WarriorWOD's internal data across 265 completers. PCL-5 and C-SSRS administered at intake and every month through all 26 weeks.

Built by a Marine who needed it
Phil Palmer is a Marine combat veteran and Purple Heart recipient who fought in the Battle of Ramadi. He founded WarriorWOD in 2021 because the recovery model he needed did not exist. So he built one to match the research, and then had the research check the results. Phil serves uncompensated.

A Warrior Class starts when it is funded. Your sponsorship puts five to thirty-three veterans in it, and your name on the outcome report that comes back six months later.
Sponsor a ClassFrequently asked questions
What does a sponsor receive?
A two-page MOU, a tax receipt, recognition for your tier, and the class's de-identified outcome report at graduation: aggregate PCL-5 change, completion count, and cluster-level results. Gold and Platinum also get a month-three update.
Do the veterans need to live near Charleston?
No. The class starts and graduates together, but each veteran trains at a Preferred Partner Gym near home, works with a nutrition coach by phone, and stays in daily contact with a Battle Buddy. Twelve classes have run this way across 38+ states.
Can an individual sponsor a class?
Yes. Tiers and recognition are the same. Platinum naming rights can honor a person or a unit.
Can I pay by check, ACH, or invoice?
Yes. Email info@warriorwod.org and we will send an invoice and the MOU.
Can a sponsorship be paid over time?
Yes. Pick a monthly amount above and it is split across twelve payments, or set a custom schedule in the MOU. Recognition begins the week the class starts.
What is WarriorWOD?
WarriorWOD is a recovery program for combat veterans living with PTSD. Over six months it combines three things that work together: training at a Preferred Partner Gym, one-on-one nutrition coaching, and a Battle Buddy mentor who served. Every veteran is measured with the PCL-5 at intake and every month after, so recovery is tracked, not assumed. Veterans pay nothing.
What outcomes can veterans expect?
An independent College of Charleston evaluation found a 14.42-point PCL-5 reduction (p<.001, Cohen's d=1.33, n=21). Across 265 completers, WarriorWOD's own data shows a 38.25% drop in overall severity, with reductions in all four DSM-5 clusters. Of nine veterans who entered with suicidal ideation, all nine are alive.
How much does it cost veterans to participate?
Nothing. The program costs $1,500 per veteran and donors and sponsors cover all of it.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
WarriorWOD Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3), EIN 87-1065126. Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and you receive an emailed receipt immediately.
Who runs WarriorWOD?
